Irving (Dallas County)KWA Construction, a general contractor specializing in multifamily projects, broke ground on Legacy Lakeshore, a luxury waterfront community beside Lake Carolyn in Irving.

The five-story building wraps around a pre-cast concrete parking structure at 880 Lake Carolyn Parkway in Las Colinas. It is being developed by Legacy Partners and HGC Investment Management. At completion, it will offer 293 units ranging in size from 580-square-foot studios to 1,945-square-foot two bedrooms.

Legacy Lakeshore is a $46 million project on 3.38 acres. It was designed by REES Associates Inc.

Amenities include a ground floor coffee shop, state-of-the-art fitness center with a yoga and spinning studio, a resort-style pool area, a hot spa with sunbathing decks, and outdoor kitchens with grilling stations.

“Legacy Lakeshore will bring a new level of innovation and luxury to an already coveted location. The first-class amenities and beauty of Lake Carolyn will make residents feel like they are always on vacation,” said Brian Webster, president of KWA Construction.

The community will also feature a dock on the waterfront with paddle boards and kayaks for resident use.

Located in the 800 block of Lake Carolyn Parkway, the community will be right next to the Orange Line of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit commuter rail system. It also connects to the Las Colinas Area Personal Transit System.

Legacy Partners closed on the land in early December 2018. Construction is scheduled to be completed by July 2021. This was KWA’s first project with California-based Legacy Partners.
