Museums: Using Space to Transcend Time and Place

There was a time when the concept of a museum was more limited, they were storage buildings with a nice foyer that housed works of art and historical artifacts. That concept is dying out as architects pursue designs that transport visitors into environments outside of present time or place. We have not yet ascended to the holodeck of Star Trek fame, but as Overland Partners senior principal and vice president of operations Michael Rey explains, the museum experience is reaching our senses in more complex ways.
