San Antonio: The American Society of Professional Estimator Holding Annual Summit in August

San Antonio (Bexar County) — The American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) will be holding their annual summit in San Antonio from Aug. 25-Aug. 28.

The ASPE Estimating Academy itinerary is as follows:

Wednesday, Aug. 25:

Registration at 3 p.m. and welcome reception at 6 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 26:

The Life Cycle of Estimating: Bidding with more data and less gut, 9 a.m. presentation by Stephane McShane.

Estimating Turnover Management, 10:30 a.m. presentation by Joe Flemming.

Transparency, Collaboration, and Continuous Estimating, 12:30 p.m. presentation by David Stutzman.

Ethical Estimating in the Time of COVID, 2 p.m. presentation by Dan Frondorf.

Back Tech: Pre-construction data lifecycle, 4 p.m. presentation by Stewart Carroll.

ASPE Awards Celebration, 6 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 27:

Construction Economic Forecast 2021: Behind the headlines, 9 a.m. presentation by Ed Zarenski.

Historical Cost Tracking: Lessons during setup and implementation, 10:30 a.m. presentation by Kelly Jarman.

Legal Pitfalls (and Opportunities) of Estimating, 12:30 p.m. presentation by Jean Arnold.

Preconstruction Possibilities: Realizing your potential, 2 p.m. presentation by Jeff Sample.

President’s Party, 5 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 28

State of Society: Board of directors, 9 a.m.

Accelerating Innovation in Preconstruction, 10:30 a.m. presentation by Gustav Choto.

Regional Breakouts, 12:30 p.m.
