Dallas (Dallas County) — Commercial Property Executive named Trammell Crow Company the nation’s 2018 leading commercial real estate development firm by activity with nearly 38 million square feet under construction and 34 million square feet completed over the last three years.
Thirty firms were listed by CPE Magazine in its 2018 Top Development Firms ranking. The top 20 are shown below.
Since 2014, TCC has held the top spot, delivering high-quality projects across the United States in a variety of product types, including office, industrial, residential (under TCC’s High Street Residential subsidiary), healthcare, mixed-use and retail.
“This national recognition is a testament to all of our TCC team members, each of whom continue to focus on our firm’s objective of building the best projects, on the best sites, in the best markets” said TCC Chief Executive Officer Matt Khourie. “Additionally, our success would not be possible without the strong support of our equity and debt partners, our tenants, and importantly, the communities in which we build. To those stakeholders, I express our thanks for helping us translate our development concepts into buildings that serve both the community and the business marketplace.”
In Dallas-Fort Worth, TCC’s office has more than 6 million square feet of commercial real estate projects that either broke ground, were under construction or were completed in 2018. Notable projects for TCC’s Dallas-Fort Worth Business Unit include: Park District, The Kincaid at Legacy (being developed under the firm’s residential subsidiary, High Street Residential) and 35 Eagle Phase II.
In Houston, TCC has more than 2.4 million square feet of commercial real estate projects that either broke ground, were under construction or were completed in 2018. Notable 2018 projects include: Park 8Ninety, Fallbrook Pines Business Park and Plastic Bagging & Packaging, Inc. (PBP).
Commercial Property Executive’s ranking of The 2018 Top 50 Developers is a weighted formula based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to: current and future plans, market value of projects completed and under construction, and geographic and property diversification (CPE, December issue).
