Celina (Collin County) — The Shawnee Trail mixed-use development has taken a significant step forward as Old Celina and G-Man Development tap Trademark Property Company to lead the project.
The master-planned site, located at Preston Road and the Collin County Outer Loop, is positioned to become one of North Texas’ most significant new retail and lifestyle destinations. Upon completion, Shawnee Trail is expected to be valued at more than $1 billion.
The project broke ground in March, and infrastructure work is now nearly complete.
The first phase will be anchored by a 200,000 square-foot Walmart Supercenter, which is expected to open in the first quarter of 2026. The first phase will also include office space, a restaurant and entertainment complex, green space with an amphitheater, and 600 apartments.
Trademark, a veteran mixed-use developer with projects across Texas, will guide the build-out of Shawnee Trail. Early plans outline a walkable environment that combines regional retail, open space, and future lifestyle components, designed to support the city’s rapidly growing population. The project is advancing in collaboration with the Celina Economic Development Corporation under the leadership of Executive Director Anthony Satarino.
Leasing is underway through a partnership between Shop Companies and Trademark, with roughly 500,000 square feet of interest from retailers already in discussion. Developers say strong demand reflects the site’s visibility, scale, and prime location at one of the region’s busiest retail corridors.
Infrastructure and design work continue to progress as the development team shapes Shawnee Trail into a long-term commercial hub. Trademark’s involvement brings a portfolio of notable projects—including Galleria Dallas, Alliance Town Center, and LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch—experience that developers say will help position Shawnee Trail as a market-leading destination for residents, visitors, and businesses.
