San Antonio (Bexar County) — A Franklin, Tennessee-based general contractor recently announced  that they are preparing to break ground on the planned $9.5 million Pinstack bowling alley at North Rim.

We are delighted to contribute to the city’s entertainment landscape by introducing a host of exciting options for locals and visitors alike,” said The Parkes Companies in a May 30 Facebook post.

This will be Entertainment Properties Group, led by Director of Real Estate and Development David Smith, second project in San Antonio. They opened a 52,290 square foot location near North Star Mall in February. The project is being constructed under the subsidiary Windhaven Properties, LLC.

The Dallas-based company also operates Pinstack locations in the Metroplex, Austin, Round Rock and Pflugerville.

According to an architectural barrier report filed on Jan. 12  with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the project was originally slated to begin on April 1 and be completed by Feb. 1, 2024.

The scope of work involves a 53,360 square foot shell building, which would make it the biggest Pinstack location to date, and include a restaurant, bar, gaming area facility primarily constructed of concrete tilt-up construction, along with pre-fabricated, structural cold-formed metal framing.

Dallas-based O’Brien Architects is on board the project.  The physical address for the new Pinstack location is 19238 Interstate 10.
