Kerrville (Kerr County) — San Antonio-based contractor Guido Construction began long-awaited repairs on the Cailloux Theater earlier this month.

The $3 million project, which Kerrville residents approved as part of a $20 million sales tax bond election in 2023, will replace the theater’s roof, install a new heating, ventilation, and cooling system, and repair any damage caused by leaks.

Work is expected to be completed by August.

The 800-seat Cailloux Theater is part of the Kathleen C. Cailloux Center for the Performing Arts, including the VK Garage Theater. The latter theater will remain open during this project.
