Austin (Travis County) — Texas-based FUSE Workspace, a hospitality driven provider of Class A flexible office workspace designed to help businesses build connections and flourish, today announced plans to open its fourth Austin location in September 2024 at 2105 East MLK Boulevard in the city’s East Side.

“This is a prime location in the heart of a vibrant, walkable community and is close to downtown Austin, the Dell Medical School and the University of Texas,” said FUSE Workspace President John Herring. “Our business is rapidly expanding as more and more companies and entrepreneurs discover the extraordinary benefits and rewards of flexible workspaces, and we expect spaces in this new East Austin center to fill up
quickly.”

The project is a joint venture between co-owners FUSE Workspace and the original building developer, CB Capital of Austin. CB Capital is an experienced developer of office, retail, industrial and storge projects across Texas.

Brian Haley, co-founder of CB Capital said, “We remain committed to the MLK corridor, which is anchored by the University of Texas on one end and Tesla on the other. FUSE’s addition to the core of MLK will serve as a catalyst for the vibrant revitalization of the corridor.”

Now in the early stages of finish out construction, the 33,000square-foot, energy-efficient Class A building will offer 126 private offices accommodating one to six people; three private enterprise suites each with three to seven offices and space for 12 to 30 people; six dedicated individual desks; five meeting rooms accommodating up to 16 people; and an expansive coworking space with group and individual seating.

FUSE Workspace offers members and guests a professional yet casual environment, complete with enterprise internet speeds and high-quality finishes. Design elements throughout the building will incorporate local influences in elements of wood and stone; distinctive lighting features; and art and furnishings reflective of the East Austin aesthetic, specifically, and Austin style, in general — all intended to boost creativity and productivity.

The MLK location will feature a kitchen and café in the common area offering fruit-infused waters, free barista-style drinks and a grab-and-go market offering local baked goods. There will be three expansive outdoor covered patios with views of downtown and Austin’s nostalgic MLK moon tower, one of the only few surviving moonlight towers in the world. Other amenities include private phone booths; WiFi and copy/scan services; members-only gym with showers; secure bike lockers; and reserved onsite covered parking, as well as nearby free parking.

The general contractor for FUSE Workspace’s East Austin buildout is DKC Construction Group (Austin). L.M. Holder III (Austin) is designing the interior finishes in conjunction with Workplace Studio (Chicago)
