Los Angeles-based Karlin Real Estate has filed plans for construction of the two buildings on part of a vacant 38-acre tract at 825 E. Howard Lane.
Karlin is partnering with Trammell Crow to develop Parmer Austin, a North Side research and business park that is attracting many technology companies, including Apple Inc., Facebook and 3M Co.
LandDev Consulting is the project engineer for the new projects in Section 8, and Campbell Landscape Architecture is overseeing landscape design there.
There is no information about an estimated construction schedule, cost or delivery method.
The aforementioned Austin FC training facility will anchor the 23-acre amenity area, Parmer Pond, within the Parmer Austin development.
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation recently received initial filings from Karlin for the construction of four buildings that will be used for restaurant or retail use at 13106 1/2 Harris Ridge Blvd. at Parmer Pond.
The four buildings would total 10,000 square feet and cost a combined $6 million to build. Construction is estimated to start in early August 2020.
