Del Valle (Travis County) — Rhino USA, a family-built brand and trusted authority in truck, towing, and off-road adventure gear, has announced the development of RhinoWorld, a first-of-its-kind 182-acre adventure campus being built just outside Austin. RhinoWorld is where Rhino USA products will be developed, proven, and taught in real conditions with an innovation lab feeding the proving grounds, hands-on education building confidence, and immersive retail and live experiences bringing it all to life.
“We spent years testing our gear in the real world whenever and wherever we could. Now we’re building the real world we always needed,” says Ted Repic, Rhino USA CEO. “RhinoWorld is where we can beat the hell out of our gear so you know it won’t fail you when you need it most.”
The story of RhinoWorld begins, like most things at Rhino USA, outdoors. The Repic family — Ted Repic and his sons Cameron and Dylan — grew up in Southern California with ready access to public land, spending weekends riding motorcycles and off-roading. In those early years, their best product ideas didn’t come at a desk. They came around a campfire, after a long day outside, when the problems were fresh, and the solutions felt obvious.
When Rhino USA relocated its headquarters to Austin, the family embraced everything Texas had to offer. But they quickly ran into something that surprised them: much less accessible public land for recreation. The kind of terrain they needed to properly test and demonstrate recovery gear, tow products, and off-road accessories wasn’t readily accessible. That gap, and the family’s ingrained habit of using the outdoors as both a laboratory and a reset button, became the seed of an idea that grew into RhinoWorld.
RhinoWorld is built around the belief that the best way to know your gear is to use it. The campus will include an innovation lab with a full shop for prototyping and testing, a content studio, a welcome center and concept retail space, a warehouse, RV sites, a campground, and an outdoor shooting and archery range. The proving grounds will span more than 8 miles with at least 15 distinct obstacles across varied terrain — creek crossings, technical trails, tilt challenges — purpose-built to test gear and build real-world skill. The obstacles will first serve as Rhino USA’s internal proving ground before opening to guests.
RhinoWorld will also serve a mission bigger than the brand. It will also be a real-world training ground for first responders and disaster recovery organizations, where the RhinoWorld team will teach techniques for using recovery equipment to clear debris and vehicles in crisis situations.
