Austin (Travis County) —Kingham Dalton Wilson, Ltd. (KDW), a full-service design and build firm known for its projects in the industrial and commercial space, announced this week 11 new projects coming to Central Texas.
The new projects will bring more manufacturing opportunities to Austin, San Antonio and beyond. Originally established in 1895, KDW is a fifth generation Texas family business with over 127 years of combined experience.
Projects coming to Austin include High-Tech Flooring & Design’s corporate headquarters, showroom and warehouse spanning 74,000 square feet. This is a build-to-suit project on an infill industrial site located at 15408 Long Vista Dr.

Also coming soon is XSpace, a four-story building with customizable multi-use condominium units suited for individual or business needs. XSpace, located at 4229 N. FM 620 and spanning 90,000 square feet, will house 114 condo units across three stories with a fourth floor dedicated to a lounge/personal use space. Both projects broke ground in Austin in the last year with completion slated for mid-late 2022.
Other Austin-based projects include a two-story freezer warehouse complete with dual temp cooler/freezers and a 125,000-square-foot custom manufacturing facility.
In San Antonio, KDW is helping with an expansion at R&L Carriers, a freight shipping and logistics company. Located at 4202 Interstate 10 East San Antonio on a 13.5 acre site, R&L’s expansion will consist of a new maintenance shop, terminal expansion and a new fuel station.
Also set to break ground in San Antonio is a 24-acre, 145,000-square-foot custom manufacturing facility.
In San Angelo, KDW will be demolishing two existing wings on the outside of a hangar and building a fixed-based operator terminal (FBO) while simultaneously renovating the interior of the hangar to bring it up to code.
“We’re incredibly excited to expand our footprint into Central Texas,” said Luke Kingham, principal-in-charge of Central Texas operations. “Austin, San Antonio and the surrounding communities are all experiencing rapid growth, and with it, opportunities for companies and individuals alike. We plan to bring a wealth of manufacturing opportunities to the region in the short term, with even greater potential to follow.”
Other ground-up design/build manufacturing projects across Central Texas include growing cities and counties like Kyle, New Braunfels, Brazos County and the surrounding communities. This includes more than 500,000 square feet of custom manufacturing facilities for food and beverage, precision machining and heavy manufacturing businesses.
In addition to the ground-up work, KDW is working on several tenant improvement projects in large, existing industrial parks. Tenant improvement work includes specialty foundations, equipment pits, heavy electrical requirements and interior finish out.
KDW is unique in the fact that the firm takes on both ground-up and tenant improvement design/build projects, which speeds up the process and allows the client to occupy the building faster while enabling greater cost control, according to a news release.
“There is an unmistakable growing demand for manufacturing opportunities in Central Texas that KDW is uniquely positioned to address,” added Kingham. “Our turnkey approach allows clients to hire under a single contract to design and construct an entire project, working side-by-side with our clients as designer, contractor and partner. We’re excited to bring these new projects to life in Central Texas and to expand beyond in years to come.”
