Austin: Multifamily Development Proposed for Southeast Portion of City

Austin (Travis County) — A Plymouth, Minnesota-based affordable housing developer received an environmental request from the city’s land development code for a multifamily project during a recent meeting of the Planning Commission.

Dominium Management, led by Development Analyst Lilly Deprey, are proposing to develop The Sage at Franklin Park under the entity Dominium Holdings I & II.

The project will be located in Southeast Austin along Pleasant Valley Road directly adjacent to Franklin Park and Woodway Village, two other Dominium owned apartment communities.

The project will consist of 298 units spread across 10 apartment buildings, a clubhouse with pool, open space, rain gardens and a playground. Dominium has already applied for a $50 million bond from the Austin Housing Finance Corporation.

  • Bldg. 1, 6 — 35,596 SF
  • Bldg. 2,3,5 — 32,037 SF
  • Bldg. 4 — 47,118 SF
  • Bldg. 7, 8 — 49,203 SF
  • Bldg. 9,10 —36,546 SF

The 22.1-acre property is undeveloped and is located at 4605 S Pleasant Valley Road and the project would have frontage on South Pleasant Valley Road and Nuckols Crossing Road.
