In addition to the 270 residences, Leland South Congress will include approximately 22,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and restaurant space specially designed and programmed by Michael Hsu’s team and anchored by a 6,000-square-foot outdoor dining paseo.
“It was important to us and the future of South Congress to place an emphasis on ground-level place-making and continue to make South Congress Avenue the most dynamic and engaging pedestrian experience in Texas,” says William Sayers, vice president for Intracorp Homes. “By collaborating with Michael Hsu and our esteemed partners, we hope to bring a refined and authentic luxury living experience while continuing the spirit of this iconic Austin neighborhood.”
A world-class team of professionals collaborated to help create Leland South Congress’ thoughtful design. Texas-based Kirksey Architecture served as lead on the project, with Nudge Design guiding the landscape architecture. All interiors and amenities are being designed by renowned, award-winning local studio Michael Hsu Office of Architecture. Leifer Properties, Northland Properties and ARON Industries have also partnered on the project.
Michael Hsu Office of Architecture worked with Intracorp on their 44 East Avenue project in the Rainey Street District to design the amenities and common areas. With MHOA in charge of the design for all residential spaces and amenities for Leland South Congress, the development will set a new standard for a cohesive and organic yet luxurious design. MHOA will integrate natural materials, daylight and unique details to craft an artful, open ambiance.
