San Marcos (Hays County) — A McAllen developer received a conditional use permit for a storage facility during this week’s meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
The 3.64-acre property is undeveloped and located southwest of the intersection of South Stagecoach Trail and Wonder World Drive at 320 Stagecoach Trail in the southwest portion of the city.
The project will be a Just A Closet Self Storage facility.
San Antonio-based Dallenbach-Cole Architecture, led by Patrick Spencer, released a preliminary site plan that showed:
- A 52,430 SF, three-story building with an office
- 20-foot front setback
- 10-foot side setback
- Detention pond
The recommendation will now be heard by the City Council at an upcoming meeting.
Ed Theriot with Doucet and Associates represented the project to the commission and said this project is among several the company has for the area.
“Just A Closet is a climate controlled storage facility out of the Rio Grande Valley,” he said. “They are expanding currently and constructing several facilities at sites around Central Texas.
Theriot added that they will develop the project in accordance with a 2D modeling floodplain study.
Randall Morris with Century 21 Randall Morris & Associates under the entity Randall Morris & Company LTD currently owns the property.
