San Antonio: QuikTrip Revises Plat for Project Near SeaWorld

San Antonio (Bexar County)QuikTrip Corporation submitted its final plat for approval of a lot subdivision located on freeway frontage real estate near SeaWorld that the company owns.

The Planning Commission approved on Wednesday the new plat, which divides 5 acres at the northeast corner of Texas 151 where the expressway intersects with Military Drive West to the west of Loop 410; (there is also a Texas 151/Military Drive West intersection east of Loop 410).

The subdivided tract at the hard corner is 2.1 acres. The adjacent tract, which approaches Holiday Inn SeaWorld, is 2.9 acres.

Tulsa, Oklahoma-based QuikTrip relied upon Matkin Hoover Engineering & Surveying of Boerne to prepare the final plat.

QuikTrip has been very active in opening new stores in San Antonio. This store is number QT (Store No.) 4062 Addition on the application filed with the Development Services Department.

QuikTrip acquired the property in June 2019 from the Methodist Healthcare System of San Antonio Ltd. The undeveloped lot has an appraised value with the county of $2,166,660.

VBX will follow developments at this location on Project ID 2020-4084.

Four of QuikTrip’s new San Antonio locations under development this year have been available to invited general contractors through VBX. These include:

  • Store No. 4009 — Project ID 2020-3CB1 — Located at 735 NW Loop 410, this is a 4,993 SF retail store with fueling station that has a June 2 bid date.
  • Store No. 4017 — Project ID 2020-2A11 — Located at 4710 Fredericksburg Road and Loop 410, this is a 4,993 SF retail store/fuel station that bid out April 17.
  • Store No. 4058 — Project ID 2020-25A0 — Located at 4142 S Loop 1604 E, this is a 7,318 SF retail store/fuel station that bid out April 13.
  • Store No. 4005 — Project ID 2020-1415 — Located at 9919 San Pedro Avenue, this is a 4,993 SF retail store/fuel station that bid out in February.
  • Store No. 4069 — Project ID 2019-9612 — Located at 5615 Montgomery Drive, this is a 4,969 SF retail store/fuel station that bit out in January.
