Marble Falls: Developer Plans 270-Unit RV Park with Amenities

Marble Falls (Burnet County)–A developer that specializes in recreational vehicle (RV) parks and self-storage facilities plans to build a 270-unit RV park on property that is being annexed by the city.

Great Escapes at Marble Falls will be built on a 50-acre tract along County Road 342A (Cimarron Ranch Road) just east of Farm Road 1431 and east of existing Marble Falls city limits.

Accessible to the Colorado River, Great Escapes will include 50 park model RV units as rental stay-in-place cabins, and 215 RV spaces for lease.

Planned amenities will include facilities such as a nearly 2-acre water park, a walking trail, playgrounds, picnic areas, a pavilion, benches, a two-story bathhouse, two or three dog parks, a central solid waste collection facility, and a clubhouse.

There will also be on-site rental sales providing necessities for guests, an area for food trucks, a permanent residence for the park manager, water quality ponds, and an indoor/outdoor event center for use by the general public.

The Jenkins Organization, the RV park developer, is a real estate investment and development corporation with a corporate office in Houston and development office in Austin.

The Jenkins Organization has more than $500 million of commercial real estate assets under management, including $330 million in owned assets.

City Council met April 7 to authorize voluntary annexation of two parcels measuring 40.2 acres and 9.8 acres at CR 342 and FM 1431 to help accommodate the planned RV park.

Houston-based M3 Engineering is the project engineer. There is presently no information on an estimated construction cost, delivery method or schedule.

The developer will fund the construction and extension of the city’s water line along RM 1431 to the project’s location on CR 342A. VBX members may track this project using ID number: 2020-2D72.
