Hutto (Williamson County) — A Miami developer recently filed a permit with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for a 204-unit apartment development.

AHS Residential, LLC is proposing to develop, AHS Hutto, located on the eastside of Exchange Boulevard at 550 Exchange Blvd., a little west of downtown.

The planned 118,000 square-foot apartment complex will include the 204 residential units, leasing office, a clubhouse, an indoor amenities area and exterior amenities.

The estimated cost of the development is $26 million with construction expected to begin Feb. 2, 2022 and conclude a year later on Feb. 2, 2023.

AHS Residential acquired a 10.78-acre site in July of this year under the name of a special purpose entity–Hutto Community LLC, a Florida limited liability corporation that was created May 17, 2021.

Juan Fernandez, director of real estate for AHS Residential told the Austin Business Journal that the company hopes to develop more projects within the Austin region.

“We’re not just coming in to build one property. We want to be part of this community and hopefully we can continue to develop here long-term,” Fernandez said. “We have several projects that we are pursuing that are in different stages of contract negotiations or development. But those are in early stages.”

Hodges Architecture, out of Dallas, is onboard the project.
