Texas Children’s Hospital, a Houston-based nonprofit health organization, announced May 20 it plans for a new 48-bed children’s facility on a 24-acre site at the northeast corner of North Lake Creek Parkway and Texas Highway 45 near Lakeline Mall. Additionally, the new hospital will feature a Texas Children’s Urgent Care facility that will provide on site, labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care, and 1,200 free parking spaces.
Page is the civil architectural firm, and McCarthy Building Cos. is the general contractor.
According to Texas Children’s Hospital officials, construction of the new North Austin facility will use sustainable building materials and techniques. Once it opens, the hospital will produce 400 jobs.
