Buda (Hays County) —  A waste management service company had their specific use permit (SUP) approved for a proposed warehouse facility during this week’s meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission.

The approximately 4-acre property is located at 1781 Robert S Light Boulevard in the southern portion of the city.

John Tritico with Liquid Waste Solutions LLC is proposing to develop a Liquid Waste service facility and needs the SUP due to an outdoor storage facility at the development.

Liquid Waste Solutions has its primary headquarters in Houston.

Matthew A. Dringenberg with the Buda office of Southwest Engineers released a site plan that showed:

  • A proposed 20,000 SF building that approximately 26 feet in height
  • 4,000 square feet will be dedicated to office use and 16,000 square feet dedicated to warehouse use
  • Outdoor storage area of 16,725 square feet
  • Detention pond
  • 28 parking spaces
  • 2.66 acres (115,870 SF) of impervious cover
  • Wrought iron fence surrounding the development

Site plan.

In addition, the open area on the western half of the property could be developed with an additional building and parking in the future, according to documents submitted to the city.

The development will have 15 trees and eight different types of shrubs, as well.

Rounding out the project team are Blair Landscape Architecture out of Austin, Avid Building Systems, out of Round Rock and S. Kanetzky Engineering, LLC., out of Bee Cave.
