Buda: Austin Real Estate Developer Aiming for Construction of Warehouse Project by 2024

Buda (Hays County) — An Austin real estate developer had their preliminary plat approved for an industrial development, at last week’s meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission.

The 67.8-acre property is undeveloped and located near Rodriguez Street and the southbound Interstate 35 access road intersection, in the west central portion of the city.

Stream Realty, the developers, are proposing to develop 931,880 square feet of warehousing space, Stream Industrial. The project is expected to be built in one phase and be completed in 2024.  

The Austin office of Kimley-Horn released a site plan with the following specs:

  • Building 1 140,800 SF
  • Building 2 192,000 SF
  • Building 3 106,000 SF
  • Building 4 353,400 SF
  • Building 5 127,680 SF
  • 75.6% (2,206,152 SF) impervious cover
  • 6.3-acre detention pond
  • 1,364 parking spaces
  • Development of several roadways within project 
  • A 3.9-acre retail site

Powers Brown Architecture, out of Houston, are on board the project team.
