Austin (Travis County) — A local real estate company is planning a 320-unit multifamily development in South Austin.
CSW Development is proposing to construct a five-story multi-family wrap project with 240,000 square feet of rentable space, according to their website.
The building will also offer some of the “highest end amenities” available and be located at 4215 South Lamar Blvd. at the intersection of South Lamar Blvd and West Ben White Boulevard on approximately 3.8 acres.
The working name of the project is South Lamar Multi-Family.
On July 29, the city rezoned 1.85 acres related to the project from commercial services (CS) to commercial services-vertical mixed-use building (CS-V) zoning.
Documents related to the zoning change had stated that the vertical mixed-use project was proposing 350 live-work units, along with 5,000 square feet of commercial use.
However, artist renderings from CSW Development show no current plans for retail commercial use.
City code will require parkland dedication for the project at the time of site plan.
Amanda Swor with the local law firm Drenner Group PC represented the project to the city.
The current property owners are Strait Lakehills LTD and Vaquero Austin Lamar Partners LP.
