Austin (Travis County)—Preliminary rezoning has been granted to a project involving 15 condominiums in a Southwest Side neighborhood.
City Council on March 12 approved the first reading of an ordinance that permits rezoning of a 2.9-acre lot at 4011 Convict Hill Road.
Devch LP, the local developer proposes building 15 detached condos. The lot, currently the site of a vacant 2,496-square-foot church, will retain single-family zoning but will be able to accommodate townhomes and condos, with final council approval.
Preliminary plans call for a total of 15,610 square feet of new construction, replacing the vacant church structure.
The project will require site work, including new driveways extending from Convict Hill Road, as well as detention ponds behind the condos, away from the street.
There is no information about a project architect, or estimated construction cost, delivery method or timeline. LOC Consultants, a local firm, is listed as the project engineer.
VBX members may track this project using ID number: 2020-24D4.
