USDA Fruit Fly Rearing and Release Facility Phase 1

Edinburg, TX (Hidalgo Co.) 

Work will consist of a one-story, approximately 92,767 sf, building for a new Mexican Fruit Fly Rearing and Release Facility (FFRRF) that is to support the Preventive Release Program (PRP) conducted by USDA Aphis. This phase 1 building will house rearing process, irradiation process, and administrative offices.

Trades include concrete; metals; wood, plastics, and composites; thermal and moisture protection; openings; finishes; specialties; equipment; furnishings; special construction; fire suppression; plumbing; heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC); electrical; communications; electronic safety and security; earthwork; exterior improvements; utilities.
