Penguin Exhibit for the Cameron Park Zoo (Subbid)
Waco, TX (McLennan Co.) – Work includes a large natural habitat exhibit for Penguins, approximately 2,974 sf. This exhibit will include a large inside animal housing area with a quarantine facility, nesting and individual holding areas, and a large exhibit/viewing area and pool for when they are kept inside and are not allowed access to the outside pool area. A family restroom, black footed cat exhibit, kiosk, and a donor sign are add alternates incorporated into the public space of the exhibit. The spatial requirements that follow U.S.D.A. and A.Z.A. minimum standards will be met for the design of all animal areas that include interior and exterior areas for public exhibition as well as, all holding areas that are required for nesting and quarantine. Alternate #1 – Plaza including decorative paving, shade structure, landscaping, and irrigation.
Alternate #2 – Black Footed Cat Exhibit.
Alternate #3 – Family Restroom.
Alternate #4 – Kiosk Gift Shop.
Alternate #5 – Donor Sign and associated lighting.
