New Construction – Rosewood Community Center and Boys & Girls Club – Wichita Falls Housing Authority
Wichita Falls, TX (Wichita Co.) – Work includes the construction of a new, approximately 20,457 SF one-story building (club approximately 12,500 SF, gymnasium approximately 7,500 SF). The buildings that occupied the one square block site were demolished and the site completely cleared except for the existing trees to be saved and protected during construction. Construction is concrete slab-on grade with spread footings, engineered steel structure except for the gymnasium which is designed as a pre-engineered metal building frame. Exterior finishes include stone veneer, metal siding and “wood-look” horizontal aluminum siding, with a TPO roof on the club building and standing-seam metal roof on the gymnasium. Interior finishes include impact resistant gypsum board on metal studs, lay-in acoustical ceilings and ceiling clouds, polished concrete, luxury vinyl plank flooring and hard-rock maple gymnasium flooring. The building will include a complete fire sprinkler system, and packaged rooftop HVAC systems serving this non-combustible construction structure. Site landscaping, landscape irrigation, paving and lighting are included in the project.
