This project consists of the Brownfield High School Bid – Package 3 Building and Site Work, approximately 141,151 sf, for Brownfield ISD. Work to include, but is not limited to: concrete; unit masonry; metals; wood, plastics, and composites; thermal and moisture protection; openings; finishes; specialties; equipment; furnishings; special construction; hydraulic elevators; fire suppression; plumbing; HVAC; electrical; communications; addressable fire-alarm systems; earthwork; exterior improvements; utilities; Approximately 141,151 sq. ft. of new construction for a new one story High School with sunken gym and basement, traditional construction and pre-engineered metal building construction. Work includes vertical building construction, accessory structures, site work, limited paving, and site utilities. All utilities within the Project site will be provided as part of the Project. New site work will be constructed. Site paving includes traffic rated asphalt and concrete. New landscaping includes specialty site features. Structural: conventional structural steel, braced frame with continuous concrete foundations on the perimeter and square spread footings on the interior. Exterior wall assemblies include decorative CMU (burnished) and metal panels over metal stud and CMU assemblies. Concrete masonry is used in the new building for locker rooms, band hall, chior room, and kitchen. Exterior storefront and curtain wall will be used to enclose openings in exterior facades. Aluminum and hollow metal doors and systems will be used throughout. Roof construction will be structural steel framing and steel deck covered by rigid roof insulation and single-ply roofing over a modified base layer as base bid; and CTEM roofing system as Alternate No. 1. Interior systems include, but are not limited to,drywall and CMU partitions and ceilings, suspended drywall and acoustical ceilings, miscellaneous metals, flexible glass and fabric wrapped folding partitions, Hydraulic elevator and miscellaneous specialties. HVAC systems will be rooftop units with mini-split units for specialized accessory spaces. Roof drainage will be piped to exterior walls and internal plumbing will connect wet areas. A wet pipe fire sprinkler system and pump will be provided as part of the new building. The new building will include a commercial kitchen for cafeteria service. Equipment and infrastructure necessary to operate this kitchen will be provided as a part of the project. New transformers and electrical distribution devices will be provided as part of this project. General illumination will be achieved with LED lamps. Some accessory specialty lighting is also provided throughout.
