In 2009, The Builder's Exchange Education Council was formed with the objective of reaching out to high school students about the construction industry and offer tangible help to those who want to enter the field after high school.

The Council established the P.A.C.E. Program (Pre-Employment Architectural and Construction Exploration) to provide a comprehensive exploration of the construction industry careers to high school students primarily at junior and senior levels.

The BXTX Education Foundation believes that positive portrayal of construction plays a major role in recruiting young talents for the construction industry. Throughout the program, students are taught the importance of construction related careers to society. Through education programs such as P.A.C.E., we hope to overcome the barriers that young people often encounter in seeking construction-related careers.

The P.A.C.E. Program curriculum is available for implemented by trade associations and adopted by school districts nationwide in an overall effort to provide career options for all students whether they are college or workforce bound.

The P.A.C.E. Program was the recipient of the Workforce Development Award in 2012 from the Construction Users Roundtable (CURT).
